At Savannah Veterinary Emergency Clinic, we’re committed to providing compassionate, expert care for pets in every stage of their journey. Below, you’ll find information on the specialized services and resources we offer to support you and your pet—from critical care to end-of-life support, surgical options, payment guidance, and more.
Our fully equipped surgical suite allows us to perform a wide range of emergency procedures with skill and compassion. Common emergency surgeries include:
- Internal injuries – such as those caused by being hit by a car or a fall.
- Emergency abdominal surgeries – including life-threatening conditions like
- Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus (GDV), also known as bloat – a life-threatening condition where the stomach fills with gas and twists, cutting off blood flow.
- Foreign body removal – when pets swallow toys, socks, or other objects that become stuck in the stomach or intestines
- Splenectomy – removal of a ruptured or bleeding spleen, often due to trauma or tumors
- Cystotomy – a surgical procedure to open the bladder and remove bladder stones, tumors, or obstructions that may be causing pain, bleeding, or difficulty urinating.
- Cesarean Section (C-section) – an emergency surgery to safely deliver puppies or kittens when a mother is unable to give birth naturally due to dystocia (difficult labor), fetal distress, or anatomical complications.
- Pyometra Surgery – removal of a severely infected uterus in unspayed female pets. This condition can be life-threatening and requires immediate surgical intervention to prevent sepsis and death.
- Trauma repair – including treatment of deep wounds, lacerations, or animal bite injuries
- Urinary blockages – particularly in male cats, where immediate care is needed to restore normal urination
Each patient is evaluated individually, and we will discuss a treatment plan with you before any procedure. Our skilled veterinarians oversee every emergency surgery, with 24/7 monitoring to ensure your pet receives continuous, high-quality care.
We understand how heartbreaking it is to say goodbye to a beloved pet. If euthanasia is the best or only option, our compassionate team is here to support you every step of the way. You’re welcome to be with your pet during their final moments, and we offer both private and communal cremation options. A keepsake paw print is also included with euthanasia services. Please call us directly to discuss your wishes or review available memorial options.
We believe financial concerns shouldn’t prevent your pet from getting the care they need. While we do not offer in-house payment plans, we accept:
